Dr Lee is one of the few clinical cardiologists in Singapore who has both medical and doctorate degrees. He studied medicine at University of Sydney under the John Crawford Scholarship Scheme (Australian Government) and graduated in 1998 with 1st class honors. He then completed his postgraduate medical training in Oxford and subsequently specialist cardiology training in Cambridge, and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in cardiology (UK) qualification. He received the prestigious Wellcome Trust Fellowship to undertake cardiovascular research and obtained Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford. Dr Lee is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He has published in several peer-reviewed international medical journals.

In order to advance his knowledge and skills in complex cardiac pacing and electrophysiology, Dr Lee spent 18 months in Toronto General Hospital of Canada to gain further practical experience. Prior to joining Cardiac Centre International, Dr Lee was a senior consultant and head of Department of Cardiology at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He was also the director of the Cardiovascular Centre, the lead in pacing and cardiac electrophysiology, and the former director of the coronary care unit (CCU) at the KTPH. In addition, he was a visiting consultant to the National Heart Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Clinical Teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Early Detection Saves Lives

- Let’s Talk Gut Health

Endoscopy is a medical procedure which provides a clear
picture of your oesophagus, stomach, duodenum and colon.
This allows the doctor to assess your gut health and diagnose
digestive conditions, as well as screen for gastrointestinal cancers.

Recent reports show a rise in early-onset cancer amongst younger adults, sometimes withoutvisible symptoms, and it is highly treatable when detected early.
