Dr June Chong has over 25 years of experience as an American Board Certified Consultant Radiologist, with special interests in Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging.
After attaining her medical degree (MBBS) in Singapore, she went on to pursue a residency training programme in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA, receiving her Diploma in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in 1996, also serving as a Chief Resident responsible for the management of all residents and administration of the residency programme.
She continued to do a Fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA, subspecialising in Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging, under the mentorship of renowned radiologists Dr Scott W. Atlas and Dr Peter M. Som. She attained the Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology/Head and Neck Imaging by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in 1998.
While in the USA, she had a visiting fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1998, and then went on to serve as a Consultant Radiologist and Advanced Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
Upon her return to Singapore, she joined the Diagnostic Radiology Department of National University of Singapore as an Assistant Professor. She was a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging in the National University Hospital from 1999 to 2004, serving also as Chief section of Neuroradiology.
She enjoys being outdoors the most. On rainy days, being able to curl up indoors with a good book is her choice of indulgence.
