Dr Christina Low has over 20 years of experience in Singapore across a wide range of medical practices including general healthcare, health screening, preventive medicine, dermatology and aesthetic treatments, medical emergencies & acute/critical care and forensic medicine. She started her career as a House Officer in three hospitals within the SingHealth network before moving on to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) as a Forensic Medicine Specialists Registrar. She has since moved on to private practice where she worked with one of the largest healthcare providers in Southeast Asia, before co-founding her own general practice where she treats acute and chronic illnesses, as well as dermatological and aesthetic conditions.
She is also an experienced administrator with strong leadership and communication skills. She has handled management topics such as resource planning and finance/budgetary controls, and has led her team of healthcare and support staff in the smooth day-to-day running and coordination of her clinical practice. She is also an advocate for quality service and a safe working environment for both staff and patients, and derives satisfaction from giving health education and advice to patients and carers to enable self management.
She graduated with Honours from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2000 and went on to complete various accreditations in Dermatology in 2013.
Apart from practicing medicine and caring for the community, Dr Christina Low is a member of the Medico-Legal Society, Singapore. She is also an active supporter of Kidz Horizon Appeal (KKH Health Fund) Singapore, Association of Women for Action & Research Singapore (AWARE) and United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).
In her free time, she enjoys curling up to a good autobiography and being inspired by the real-life experiences of great individuals, and gaining practical wisdom for her own pursuits.
Dr Low is fluent in English, Hokkien, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.
