Asila is a Principal Physiotherapist at OptiMove, based at TripleOne Somerset, with over 15 years of clinical experience in paediatric physiotherapy, neurorehabilitation, and complex developmental conditions. She is passionate about helping children and families achieve meaningful functional outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Prior to joining Optimove Physio, Asila was part of the physiotherapy team at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), where she led multidisciplinary teams for paediatric patients and developed specialist neurorehabilitation services. She also played a vital role in establishing innovative programmes within the Children’s Intensive Care Unit.

Her clinical expertise includes the assessment and management of children with:

• Cerebral palsy
• Developmental delays
• Neuromotor and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Neuromuscular conditions
• Genetic and rare disorders
• Complex movement disorders
• Paediatric rehabilitation following illness, injury, or surgery
• Respiratory conditions requiring physiotherapy intervention

Beyond clinical practice, Asila is actively involved in education, research, and professional development. She has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic and is currently Associate Faculty with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). She has also led the development of paediatric physiotherapy training programmes and has presented her work at local and international conferences.
