Dr Michelle Koo graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2012. Upon graduation, she has worked in local restructured hospitals and rotated through various departments including Internal Medicine and General Surgery in Singapore General Hospital, Paediatric Medicine in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and the Emergency Department of Changi General Hospital.
Before entering General Practice, she was a Senior Resident in the Singhealth Anaesthesia Residency Programme, where she had spent 6 years training in the specialty fields of Surgical Anaesthesia, Peri-operative Medicine, Intensive Care as well as Acute and Chronic Pain Management, during which she obtained a Masters of Medicine in Anaesthesia in 2017.
She is now a General Practitioner with special interests in Health Screening and Preventive Medicine. She is a strong advocate of patient education and believes that patient empowerment goes a long way in the promotion of long-term health and wellness.
Dr Koo is a dedicated mother to her toddler daughter and in her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, supporting local cuisine, and spending quality time with family.
Dr Koo is fluent in English and Mandarin.
